Successful International English Language Competition

In May 2011, 39 5th to 8th grade students from RIMS took part in an international English competition "The Big Challenge". 33 of these students did particularly well, gaining higher than the national average points. The students had to answer questions about grammar, vocabulary, geography and history of various English speaking countries.

Two examples: In grade 7, 7 students from Rims took part in the competition. From a total of 2,724 students in Hessen, 5 of the 7 students from RIMS came under the top 84 in Hessen. In grade 8, 4 students took part and 3 were in the top 83 from 2,256 students in Hessen.

In total, 2,472 schools in Germany took part in the competition, 119 in the state of Hessen.
